We recognise our responsibility as productive members of society to give of our time, skills and wealth for the betterment of Australia. As an expression of this intent, in 2015 we established a private ancillary fund called the Hansen Little Foundation. This has now grown to be a large and active philanthropic undertaking and is chaired by Jane Hansen.

Our current areas of focus are on tertiary education, the arts, medical research and broad based charity contributions. The size of grants vary significantly with some multi-million dollar gifts having a long gestation period and occur typically where the Jane and/or Paul have had extensive involvement with the organisation. So we tend to give not only of our wealth, but also our time and expertise in assisting organisations to optimally achieve their goals.

As the nineteenth century Danish philosopher said, ‘As you have lived, so have you believed’, that is our values and commitment are evidenced in our deeds and how we choose to live.

For the Little Group, philanthropy is an important part of our culture and how we choose to prioritise our resources.
